It’s not uncommon to struggle to think of what to do on a weekend. Weekends are precious and therefore we want to make sure we get the most out of them. If you have got to the point where you’re struggling to think of fun weekend activities then look no further, as below we will list some ideas for you to consider which will add a touch of difference to your usual weekend activities.

Bring your own party

If you like to entertain but don’t want all the hassle then consider throwing a bring your own party. This basically means that your guests will bring their own food and drinks and all you need to do is provide the location and some music.

Lots of fun can be had when driving, but you will need to consider some aspects. For example, wheel alignment and balancing, as this will keep your vehicle safe for fun pursuits. 4×4’s are a great way of having fun, but again ensure you get a sunday servicing for your tyres as this will help with your peace of mind and ensure that your vehicle will be able to cope with the fun you are using it for. 4×4 tyres must be monitored as they get more punishment than normal tyres. Lots of enjoyment can be had with motorcycles, but before you have fun, look for knee guards for motorcycles. If you are new to the motorcycle scene, then perhaps consider dirt bikes first.

Regardless of where you live, it’s very likely that there’s something near to you that you’ve never explored i.e. an area of nature or a landmark. On one of your weekends, make an effort to explore this local interest.

If you fancy doing something energetic then consider taking your bike to a place that you’ve not been to before.

Outdoor concert

If the weather is good then consider going to an outdoor live show for a fun weekend activity with a difference.

Roller skating

Get your friends together and spend a day roller skating together. It will be lots of fun and will probably remind you of being a child again. Not only that, but roller skating will also give you a great workout.

Cook something different

Head to your local farmers market and buy the ingredients that you will need to cook something new that you’ve been meaning to cook, but never got around to.

Get a playlist together, whether this is on your phone or using vinyl records and spend some time relaxing and listening to your favourite songs.

Make a list of your favourite cocktails and spend some time perfecting them. Obviously, you will need some friends over to help you sample them!

Stand up comedy

There’s a lot of stand-up comedy that’s cheap and sometimes even free, you don’t have to pay over the odds to take part in this activity. Quite often, if you visit a small comedy club you may get the chance to visit a comedian that’s not famous yet, but may well be very soon.

There’s nothing quite like staring up at a beautiful starry sky, especially on a clear night. Head towards the countryside in order to get the best view.

In your local community, there’s bound to be a homeless shelter and these organisations always need volunteers. This would be a very rewarding activity that you could do on your weekend. It will also look great on your CV too.

A wellness weekend

The great way to spend a weekend is to pamper yourself. Think of yoga, meditation and bright sunshine to get yourself feeling re-energised for the week ahead.

If you’re bored with the way things look in your house then spend the weekend rearranging your home. It won’t cost you anything to do this but it will make you feel like you have a new space to live in.

Life drawing

If you’re looking for something a bit different then consider taking part in a life drawing class. It’s a great way to really get the creative juices flowing and take part in a group activity.

Movie binge

Get your family or friends over and have a movie binge. Find out what everyone’s favourite movie is, perhaps from when they were younger and spend one of your weekends binging these movies.

Wall climbing

If you want to test how good your core strength is then consider some indoor wall climbing. If you’re new to wall climbing then you may have to pay for an instructor to give you a taster session.

Board games

When was the last time you dug out those famous board games such as Trivial Pursuit or Cluedo. Maybe it’s time to find them and play them this weekend.
