According to a recent report, Subaru will first develop a “strong-hybrid” vehicle using technology shared with Toyota. This vehicle is set to go on sale later this decade, and feature the brand’s symmetrical all-wheel drive system.
The federal auto safety regulator has received 127 similar complaints about sudden acceleration resulting in 52 injuries. Their inquiry into the incidents could involve as many as half a million vehicles, according to the agency’s summary of the review.
